Steroid creams are often used to relieve itching and reduce inflammation.

They are particularly useful for commom conditions such as eczema, atopic dermatitis and irritant dermatitis.

It is not recommended to use steroid creams for long-term treatment as they can thin the skin. To repeat, steroid creams should only be used for short-term treatment. Ask your doctor or a pharmacist for advice before using a steroid cream.
