The antioxidants found in ginkgo can help neutralise and protect the body from free radicals and reduce the damage and destruction they cause to our cell membranes. The damage caused to our cells can later lead to ill health and even disease, with this in mind, it is thought that ginkgo can be beneficial for maintaining good health later in life.
Ginkgo biloba, sometimes just referred to as 'ginkgo', is probably the most popular herb in the world, with millions of people using it throughout Europe and North America. Virtually all of the reported studies of ginkgo biloba have been carried out with a standardised extract called GBE, containing 24% glycosides, which is the material used by Lamberts. Lamberts favour standardised extracts since the extraction and concentration procedures ensure that the herbal product is far more potent than those products based on powdered whole herb, where no attempt is made to concentrate the active components.
Lamberts Ginkgo biloba is an extra high strength ginkgo supplement, one of the highest strength products available in the UK.
