Perrigo Heartburn & Acid Reflux Control Gastro-Resistant 14 Capsules 20mg Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor which can be used to treat Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) providing relief and control of the feeling of heartburn from the acid flowback of the contents from your stomach, back up towards your esophagus resulting in a sour or bitter liquid being regurgitated in the throat and mouth. Indications present Esomeprazole as having a greater activity than Omeprazole in achieving the same degree of acid suppression at lower doses. It has been reported as being more effective in treating the symptoms of esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus).

Heartburn and indigestion episodes of painful symptoms can last to up to three hours and may occur repeatedly for several days.
