Newfoundland UTI Test is a home test kit for detecting leukocytes (LEU) and nitrites (NIT) in urine to screen for a urinary tract infection (UTI).

Direction of use:

1. Remove the strip from the sealed pouch and hold absorbent tip in urine stream or in a collected urine sample for 1-2 seconds.
2. Remove the tip from the urine and place the test stick on an absorbent material (e.g. paper towel) to remove excess urine.
3. Read result at 1 minute for nitrites and at 2 minutes for leukocytes.
4. Match the colour of the test strip pods to the colour blocks on the chart provided to determine results. Do not interpret the results after 3 minutes.

Symptoms to look out for:
Pain or burning while urinating • Cloudy urine, blood in urine or strong smelling urine • Pain or cramping in the groin or lower abdomen.
