Movicol is an effective, gentle, easy to use treatment for occasional constipation.
Movicol active ingredient, macrogol, binds with water to hydrate and soften stubborn stool helping to restore normal bowel movement within 24-48 hours**.

Directions for Use:
Please carefully read enclosed leaflet before use.
Suitable for adults over 18 years of age.
Take 1-3 prepared sachets daily, divided throughout the day, until symptoms ease or for up to 5 days.
To prepare a sachet pour the contents into a glass and add 125ml (¼ pint) of water. Stir well until dissolved and solution is clear or slightly hazy. Drink immediately.
May be taken with or without food. Ensure you drink plenty of fluids while taking Movicol Ease.
**Movicol results may take longer for some users.


Do not take if you:

• are under 18 years of age.
• have a blockage in your intestine.
• have a small hole in your gut wall.
• have severe inflammatory bowel disease like ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon.
• have an allergy to any of the listed ingredients.

Consult your doctor/pharmacist before use if you:

• are taking any other medication.
• are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Cautions:

• If symptoms persist for more than 5 days or worsen consult your doctor.
• If you are following a low sodium diet contact your doctor before use. This contains 186.87 mg sodium per sachet, equivalent to 9.3% of the recommended maximum daily dietary intake.
• May cause diarrhoea. Stop use of this medication and drink plenty of fluids.
