Mepore film is intended for use on a wide range of wounds such as superficial burns, abrasions and lacerations.

Mepore film is a flexible transparent, breathable film dressing made of polyurethane, coated with a polyacrylic adhesive. The dressing is supported with a transparent sheet paper frame for ease of application.

Directions of use.

1. Clean the application area. Dry the healthy surrounding skin.
2. Using the correct size dressing allow a margin which adheres to the surrounding healthy skin. The dressing can be cut and overlapped.
3. Remove the protection paper (printed Mepore) to expose the adhesive.
4. Apply Mepore film and remove the paper frame.
5. Remove the 2 white paper side tabs.

Dressing change and removal

1. The dressing may be left in place for several days depending on the wound/skin condition or as indicated by good clinical practice.
2. Lift a corner of the dressing and gently pull the film along the skin (in the direction of hair growth).

Precautions:
Mepore Film & should not be applied on patients who are sensitive to acrylic adhesive. Care should be taken to minimize skin tension that can cause mechanical damage to the skin. The wound should be inspected for signs of infection according to clinical practice. In case of clinical signs of infection continued use of Mepore Film & Pad should be determined by a healthcare professional.
