Maloff Protect 250mg/100mg tablets (atovaquone/proguanil hydrochloride) for the prevention of malaria. Please note these tablets are only suitable for adults.
A course of Maloff Protect tablets should be taken before, during and after travelling please ensure you order the correct amount.
Maloff Protect are also available in a
24 tablet pack size.

Maloff Protect will need to be taken once daily to ensure the maximum chemoprophylactic benefits.
How to take:
For oral use adults: Take one tablet once a day at the same time each day with food or a milky drink if possible.
- Start taking Maloff Protect 1-2 days before travel
- Take 1 tablet every day during your stay.
- Continue taking 1 tablet daily for another 7 days after you return.
Ensure that you finish the full course for maximum protection.
If you stop taking Maloff protect early you are at risk of getting malaria as it takes up to 7 days to ensure that any parasite that may be in your blood after a bite from an infected mosquito are killed.
Caution
If you vomit (are sick) within 1 hour of taking your tablet, take another dose straight away.
Do not take more than the recommended dose.
Not suitable for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age unless prescribed by a doctor.
Do not take Maloff Protect Tablets if:
You are allergic to any of the active ingredients listed below and in the enclosed leaflet.
you have kidney or liver disease.
