Imodium Instants contains Loperamide, for the treatment of diarrhoea. It comes in the form of a tablet that melts on the tongue and does not need to be taken with water. The tablet has a pleasant minty taste.

Directions for use:
After the initial attack of diarrhoea, place 2 tablets on the tongue and allow to dissolve. If symptoms persist and you are still suffering from loose stools, take 1 tablet after each episode. Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours.

Imodium Instants is also available in a larger 12-pack size, known as Imodium Instant Melts.

Imodium Instant Melts are not for use for children under 12. Do not use if pregnant or breast-feeding.

Note that although Imodium Instant Melts do not need to be taken with water, it is important to drink plenty of fluids whenever you have diarrhoea, to replace any fluids lost in the stools. You may like to try taking Dioralyte in conjunction with Imodium to help maintain the body's fluid balance.
