How does Hyalofemme work?
Hyalofemme works in three ways:
- It restores moisture to the vaginal tissue with its unique formula containing hyaluronic acid, which is known as "nature's moisturiser" because it's already present in the vagina and other places such as joints, where surfaces which rub together need to be moist to prevent friction. Better still, Hyalofemme has a patented extra-effective version of hyaluronic acid called Hydeal-D®.
- It is "muco-adhesive" meaning it sticks to the mucus membrane which coats the vaginal walls for up to 3 days. This has been proven in pre-clinical trials
- It is formulated to release moisture slowly and steadily, whenever the tissue requires it over those three days.
What makes Hyalofemme different to other vaginal dryness products?
Hyalofemme is the only vaginal moisturiser that has been proven in clinical trials to be safe and effective for
women with vaginal dryness symptoms caused by menopause, cancer or childbirth. Furthermore, clinical trials showed that the women's sex lives improved as a result of using Hyalofemme regularly.
No other vaginal moisturiser has this clinical evidence to assure you how effective and safe it is. You can trust Hyalofemme.
Good to know: patients taking part in clinical trials are closely monitored, then the results of the study have to be checked by several experts in the same medical speciality. Only then can they be published in an established medical journal.
Does Hyalofemme contain hormones to relieve vaginal dryness caused by menopause?
No, Hyalofemme is free from hormones, parabens, perfumes and harsh chemicals.
Furthermore, it has been proven in a clinical trial to be as effective as oestrogen cream in relieving symptoms of vaginal dryness, which can be itching and burning as well as pain or discomfort during sex.
I've had cancer and can't use hormone treatments. Is it safe to use Hyalofemme?
Yes, Hyalofemme has been proven in clinical trials to be safe and effective for women who have undergone cancer treatments.
Does Hyalofemme reduce the symptoms of vaginal dryness?
Absolutely, yes. If fact, it has been proven in clinical trials to be safe and effective in relieving symptoms of vaginal dryness, which include itching and burning as well as pain or discomfort during sex, or even when walking or sitting.
Can Hyalofemme improve my sex life?
Yes. This has also been proven in clinical trials. Women experienced less pain and distress, physically and emotionally, when they applied Hyalofemme regularly for 4-6 weeks.
Is Hyalofemme suitable as a sexual lubricant?
Hyalofemme is a moisturiser rather than a lubricant. The good news is that can mean you don't need a
lubricants to enjoy spontaneous sex.
With regular use, Hyalofemme can re-moisturise your vagina so that the cells are plumped up again. Instead of the tissue being thin and dehydrated so that it's somewhat brittle and prone to cracking (like chapped skin on your lips or hands) it becomes moist and elastic again. It begins to feel like your natural vaginal secretions and you can feel like your old self again.
It's important to understand that lubricants don't moisturise the vaginal tissue, they simply coat the surfaces with a slippery substance that lasts a short time, usually less than an hour. Lubricants are sometimes marketed as moisturisers, so you need to check the label carefully.
Is it safe to use Hyalofemme in such a sensitive area?
Yes, multiple clinical trials have proven this, even in cancer patients and survivors, who tend to have more severe dryness symptoms, and are more sensitive to ingredients.
Some women experience a slight stinging sensation the first time or two that they use it. This is likely to be because dryness has caused tiny cracks or tears in the vaginal surfaces. Hyalofemme actually helps to heal those microtears, by activating the production of new, healthy cells. One study showed some women felt better in just a week.
Does Hyalofemme contain harsh chemicals?
No. Hyalofemme is gentle and clinical trials have shown that it is very well tolerated.
Can I use Hyalofemme along with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT?)
Yes. Sometimes HRT tablets or patches don't relieve vaginal dryness even though they resolve other menopausal symptoms such as hot
flushes. Doctors often recommend Hyalofemme in these circumstances.
How often do I need to use Hyalofemme?
The standard dose is once every 3 days. However, it's perfectly safe to use it more often if you feel it's helpful. In the clinical trials with women who had severe symptoms caused by cancer treatments, greater benefits were found by applying Hyalofemme 5 times a week. Each 30g tube contains a month's supply when you use it with the standard dose of once every 3 days.
How do I get Hyalofemme where it needs to go?
The great thing is that each 30g tube comes with a reusable applicator, which places exactly the right amount in the right place.
Is Hyalofemme safe for use with condoms and other contraceptives?
It is compatible with lubricated/non-lubricated latex and polyisoprene condoms, diaphragms, female condoms and systemic/long acting reversible contraception, but not polyurethane
condoms.
Please bear in mind that Hyalofemme does not have a contraceptive effect.
Is it okay to use Hyalofemme when trying for a baby?
Yes, it is not spermicidal and does not impair sperm motility (some lubricants can kill sperm or negatively impact their swimming abilities).
Can I use Hyalofemme when I'm pregnant?
We recommend that you consult your midwife or doctor if you would like to start using Hyalofemme during
pregnancy.
Could Hyalofemme help after I've delivered my baby?
It may be a while after having a
baby before you feel like sex, but it can be even longer when childbirth or breastfeeding spark hormonal changes which cause vaginal dryness.
Studies show Hyalofemme supports tissue repair as well as replacing moisture in cells. That's useful if you've had a vaginal delivery.
In one trial, new mums experienced a significant improvement of sexual function, including desire, arousal and lubrication. An increase in the moisture content of the vaginal tissue was noted.
Will Hyalofemme give me a nasty discharge?
Due to its mucoadhesive properties, reports of Hyalofemme causing discharge are very uncommon. A small number of women after using Hyalofemme have reported discharge. This is perfectly normal and is just a combination of Hyalofemme and dead dry cells. Usually the drier your vagina is, the more dead cells will come away in the initial stages of use. This will improve and eventually disappear as moisture is regained. If the discharge has an unpleasant odour or colour, this may be evidence of a pre-existing vaginal infection so you should consult your GP.
