What is the difference between Germoloids and other treatments for piles?


All Germoloids products contain Lidocaine, a powerful pharmacy-strength anaesthetic that has many uses in treating external pain. Lidocaine is not found in any other commonly-available piles cream. The lidocaine, combined with the anti-swelling ingredients (zinc oxide in the case of the cream/ointment/suppositories mean that as well as treating the swelling, you are numbing the pain so can get on with your everyday life.

How do I decide which Germoloids product to buy?

  • The standard treatment is the Germoloids ointment 55ml, which provides protection for the skin.
  • Germoloids cream feels more like a moisturiser and so it depends on how you feel (they both contain the same formulation).
