Cerruti

The first Cerutti Boutique was opened in Paris by Nino Cerutti in 1967 displaying luxury ready-to-wear designs. The Cerutti name itself goes back almost a century to the Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti textile mill in Italy where local water is utilised to wash and treat quality imported wools.

The signature Cerutti fragrances '1881' pays homage to this mill as this is the year it was first opened by the Cerutti family. To this day the mill produces fabrics in a largely unchanged process.

Nino Ceutti himself became a media darling during the 80s when his clothes were used in hit films Pretty Woman and Basic Instinct, his designs came to be worn by a string of A list celebrities.
