Co-codamol Effervescent Tablets - Each Tablet Contains 500mg Paracetamol and 8mg Codeine Phosphate.

Co-codamol is for the treatment of pain, including muscular and rheumatic pains, headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat, and period pains.
Directions:
For oral use.
Adults and children over 12 years - One or two Co-codamol tablets dissolved in water every 4-6 hours as required to a maximum of 8 tablets daily.
Children 6-12 years - 1/2 to 1 Co-codamol tablet dissolved in water every 4-6 hours as required to a maximum of 4 tablets daily. Co-codamol tablets are not scored and care should be taken to half them accurately.
Discard the unused half of the tablet.
Dissolve Co-codamol Effervescent tablets in at least half a glass of water before taking.

Warnings:
Co-codamol is not recommended for children under 6 years or age. Do not exceed the stated dose.
Co-codamol contains paracetamol, do not take with other paracetamol-containing products.
If you need to take Co-codamol for more than 3 days at a time, see your doctor or pharmacist.
Taking codeine regularly for a long time can lead to addiction. Taking a painkiller for headaches too often or for too long can make them worse.

Please Note:
Codeine should not be taken for longer than 3 days as this can cause addiction.
