Mepore Film and Pad 9 x 10cm Dressing

Mepore film and pad dressings are for use on moderate to low exuding (weeping) wounds, cuts and abrasions.
Mepore film and pad consists of a polyurethane film with an absorbent viscose wound pad which has low adherent contact layer. The film is water resistant and provides a barrier which protects from contamination.The low adhesive film conforms well to body contours.

Application:

1. Open the sterile pack and remove the dressing.
2. Clean the application area, dry the healthy surrounding skin.
3. Remove protection paper (printed Mepore) to expose adhesive.
4. Apply Mepore dressing and remove the paper frame.
5. Remove the two white paper side tabs.

frequency of change:
The frequency of dressing changes should be governed by the condition of the wound in accordance with accepted clinical practice.
Precautions:
Mepore film + pad should not be applied on patients who are sensitive to acrylic adhesive.
Care should be taken to minimise skin tension that could cause mechanical damage to the skin.
the wound should be inspected for signs of infection according to clinical practice. In case of clinical signs of infection (pain, redness, swelling or unusual odour or discharge.) continued use of Mepore film and pad should be determined by a health care professional.
